Geography is a subject whose relevance has never been more important than today. Students are taught the principles of human and physical geography. These are then applied to current situations and case studies. There is a particular emphasis on man’s effect on the natural environment.
IGCSE Geography is divided into three sections. Paper one covers the main content of the subject examining students on both human and physical topics. Paper two assesses the ability to use geographical techniques and skills to answer resource based questions. The final aspect of the course is the completion of a fieldwork based project; students can come up with an idea for supervised study or attend a field trip to the Isle of Wight.
