What Does a Personal Tutor Do?

Personal tutors provide structured, holistic support by:

> Meeting with their tutee on a weekly basis

> Monitoring academic progress and engagement

> Helping students set realistic goals and stay accountable

> Liaising with subject tutors and parents

> Supporting organisation, revision planning and time management

> Offering a sounding board for challenges, concerns or ambitions

Tutors also support university applications, including UCAS, personal statements, and interview preparation.
