ISI Inspection – ‘All Standards Met’

ISI Confirms Collingham Meets All Standards – Highest Possible Judgement

In January 2026, Collingham College underwent a full inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. Inspectors confirmed that all Independent School Standards were met, which, under the current ISI framework, represents the highest possible judgement.

The report identifies Collingham as “a supportive, intellectually serious environment where students are known as individuals and encouraged to think independently.” This is a clear reflection of the ethos we aim to uphold.

Inspectors also praised:

  • Our broad and flexible GCSE and A Level curriculum, including an extensive range of modern languages.
  • Highly personalised SEND provision with measurable positive impact.
  • The distinctive Selfhood programme.
  • Our robust safeguarding culture.

They outlined three development priorities: broadening GCSE approaches, strengthening assessment tracking, and deepening reflection on health and lifestyle choices which align with work that is already underway.

James Allder, Principal, said:

“This report affirms what matters most to us: serious academic intent delivered in a highly personalised environment. Collingham has always combined intellectual challenge with individual understanding. We welcome the clarity of ISI’s recommendations and will use them to sharpen our practice further.”

We extend heartfelt thanks to parents, guardians and staff whose feedback supported the inspectors’ understanding of Collingham.
