GCSEs for International Students

Academic Excellence in an International Environment

Collingham is a British independent school in central London, founded in 1975, and warmly welcomes international students seeking to study for GCSEs or IGCSEs. Classes are capped at nine students, with an average of five, so every student gets real individual attention as they adjust to a new system.

Our experienced staff understand the needs of international students and provide expert academic and pastoral support to ensure a smooth transition into the British education system.

Specialist Support for International Students

  • English Language Support: Tailored English as an Additional Language (EAL) support is available where required, with dedicated EFL provision for students who need it.
  • Flexible Entry: Students can join our Year 9 foundation year before starting GCSEs in Year 10, or enter the GCSE programme directly in Year 10, with Year 11 entry possible in certain cases, and rolling admissions throughout the year.
  • Academic Excellence: Classes of nine students or fewer, with an average of five, ensure individual attention and rapid academic progress.
  • Personal Tutor System: Every student is assigned a Personal Tutor to oversee their academic development and pastoral wellbeing.

We also assist international families with advice on university pathways and progression to A Levels at Collingham.
