On the 10th December our psychology students went to the Freud Museum in London. This was a great opportunity to learn about the father of modern psychology, Sigmund Freud. The museum is in fact the home of Freud and his daughter, Anna Freud, who was also a pioneering Child Psychologist in her own right. The museum gave the students plenty of opportunities to learn more abut how Freud’s theories have influenced how we understand the mind today. There were also several items of interest to be seen at the museum, such as Freud’s famous couch, and the hundreds of small antique, figures and amulets that he collected and which inspired many of his theories.
