Blended Learning

The Best of Both Worlds: In-Person and Online Learning

At Collingham, we understand that every student’s educational needs are unique. Our Blended Learning approach offers a flexible blend of on-site and personal online tuition, enabling students to benefit from high-quality academic instruction while maintaining a balanced, personalised schedule.

This adaptable format is ideal for students with demanding extracurricular commitments, medical needs, international travel, or those transitioning back into full-time education.

What Is Blended Learning?

Blended Learning combines the structure and community of in-person education with the convenience and accessibility of online learning. Students can:

  • Attend some lessons in person at our college sites
  • Receive other one-to-one lessons remotely via our Online Tuition Programme
  • Transition between the two as circumstances change

Each student’s timetable is bespoke, designed in collaboration with parents, tutors, and personal mentors.

Who Is It For?

Our Blended Learning model supports:

  • Students recovering from illness or managing health needs
  • Young athletes, performers, and creatives with professional schedules
  • International students in transition or on temporary relocation
  • Students with anxiety or returning from school absence
  • Families seeking greater flexibility in their child’s learning environment

Academic and Pastoral Support

Blended Learning students receive the same high level of support as our full-time in-person learners, including:

  • Small class or 1:1 teaching (online and offline)
  • Access to personal tutors for weekly mentoring
  • Study Skills coaching
  • Full UCAS and university application guidance
  • Regular progress reports and parent updates

Lessons are conducted via high-quality video platforms with full interactive capabilities. Students receive post-lesson materials and follow-up support as needed.

Seamless Integration

Blended Learning at Collingham is not an add-on—it’s a fully integrated part of our academic model. Tutors work collaboratively to ensure consistency across both delivery modes, and students feel part of the wider college community no matter where they are learning from.
