Collingham Kensington welcomes students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and is committed to offering flexible, personalised support to help them thrive academically and emotionally.

Our calm, inclusive setting, small class sizes, and strong pastoral systems create the ideal environment for students with a range of learning needs to feel supported, seen, and set up for success.

What We Offer Students with EHCPs

> Small class sizes (maximum 9 at GCSE, 8 at A Level) for personalised attention

> Option for 1:1 tuition or bespoke timetables

> Support from our in-house SEN specialist and learning support team

> Study Skills coaching and time management support

> Regular academic and pastoral monitoring via the personal tutor system

We also liaise with external professionals and local authorities to ensure a joined-up approach to student care.

Personal Tutors and Consistent Communication

Each student with an EHCP has a personal tutor who serves as their main advocate and mentor. Tutors coordinate academic support, maintain communication with parents and staff, and contribute to annual reviews.

We provide:

> Regular parent updates

> Progress reports each half-term

> Feedback to assist with EHCP review processes

Integration and Achievement

Students with EHCPs are fully integrated into the academic and social life of the college. With the right structure, support, and challenge, they achieve meaningful academic outcomes, including:

> Progression to A Levels

> University entrance (including Russell Group)

> Rebuilding of confidence and independence after previous setbacks

Admissions

We invite families to meet with our SEN team and senior staff to discuss needs and ensure that Collingham Kensington is the right fit. We accept EHCP students on a rolling basis, and every applicant is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
