Students were recently fortunate enough to get to visit the Victoria and Albert Museum to see the Cars: Accelerating the Modern World Exhibition which focuses on the role of the car in shaping the world we live in today. Over its short 130-year history, the car has become one of the most loved, contested and influential innovations in the world. It has revolutionised manufacturing, transformed how we move, forever changing our cities, environment and economies. Highlights of the exhibition included the Patent-Motorwagen No. 3, made by Karl Benz in 1888 and a number of clothing items that had been designed in the early 20th century.
