Last term saw Kadija win the Vice—Chancellor’s Prize in the Royal College of Art’s YOUNG ART Exhibition. Her beautiful diptych ‘In Memoriam’ meant she was awarded first place in the competition.
This term we were able to celebrate her victory at the Royal College of Art itself. Within the gallery, we could spot several of our talented students’ work; it was a fantastic evening which Collingham were extremely proud to attend.
YOUNG ART is an exhibition at the Royal College of Art for school students aged 4-18 raising funds for Cancer Research UK. The event creates the opportunity for aspiring artists to have their work judged. With around 800 artworks within the gallery, ultimately each piece paints a brighter future for other children who are suffering from cancer and whose futures are not quite so assured.
