Back in October, we held a ‘World Diversity Day’, celebrating our cultural differences both with Collingham and around the world.
The event included a presentation on Globalisation by the student council and a ‘Guess the International Ingredient Challenge’, in which students were presented with a range of mystery ingredients, from the unusual dragon fruit to the almost indistinguishable spices from Asia and Africa. We took charity donations to enter the contest, and we managed to raise a fantastic £100 for UNICEF. We a received a great thank you letter from UNICEF (below), which will be proudly displayed in our hall. We love fundraising for great causes and it’s wonderful to have our efforts acknowledged. A special thanks to the students that helped organise the day as part of the Wednesday Forum Programme.
