Collingham was excited to host a private talk by New College of Humanities recently. A collective of our AS students heard about the unique liberal arts-inspired undergraduate curriculum that is taught to small groups, as well as the one-to-one tutorial system that New College of Humanities offers.
Dan Roberts, New College’s Admissions Advisor outlined the distinctive combined honours degree, which is comprised of a ‘major’ subject and a complementary ‘minor’ subject, and has been called the gold standard of a humanities education.
This approach, which is different to that of typical UK institutions, interested the attendees. We encourage our AS, as well as our A2, students to consider a range of options following their time at Collingham, and the talk was to help provoke thoughts in this direction.
