On Friday 16th March, the annual Collingham concert took place. Once again we saw the study room transformed from the students’ workplace into an intimate, subtly-lit music venue.
There were a range of wonderful performances from our students and staff, including beautiful classical pieces from Simran, Theo and English teacher Rosalind Dobson to contemporary rock pieces by Joe and Cordelia .
Each year the concert fundraises for The National Foundation for Youth Music, a wonderful charity that invests in music-making projects for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, or who are experiencing challenging circumstances. This year’s concert raised an incredible £850.
Once again we were dazzled by our students’ talent, and would like to thank them all for delighting us with their performances and helping us raise funds for a very special cause.
More thanks to the Student Council for organising the event, and all volunteers and staff who helped on the night to make it run so smoothly. We are already looking forward to next year’s concert!
